Postpartum Doula Support

Examples of daytime postpartum support

Those first few weeks home may be filled with many emotions - indescribable joy for this new human you created, grief for who you once were, anxiety over how to care for this new little one, and exhaustion from lack of sleep. My job is to mother the mother. To provide emotional, physical, and educational support to the family. Support varies day to day and family to family as needs are ever changing, some examples of what postpartum help may look like are:

- preparing nourishing meals that aid in recovery

- assisting with laundry and folding

- grocery shopping and running errands

- washing dishes

- taking care of your furry ones

- education on safe sleep, baby wearing, and feeding

- taking care of baby while parents catch up on much needed rest

- providing resources & referrals for 4th trimester healing

Yoga

Private prenatal & postpartum yoga

I draw from my experience as a yoga instructor and doula to tailor sessions to each individuals goal.  For prenatal yoga, we may be energetic and flowy or gentle and restorative - it's always your call. I incorporate many movements that will be useful in aligning your body, allowing baby to enter optimal fetal positioning, and giving you the knowledge on how to move through labor with ease. Postpartum yoga is centered around gentle movement and recovery for the 4th trimester, we tend to the body slowly to promote pelvic floor healing.

Sessions may be in the comfort and privacy of your own home or virtual depending on our distance.
