After a traumatic birth with my first son, we wanted to make sure we had a doula for our second child to help things go more smoothly. We were blessed to hire Sarah as our birth and postpartum doula! She was extremely helpful in helping me decide when to go to the hospital and then through the labor process. I was able to have an uncomplicated birth without an epidural, just as I had wanted. She was also able to help us by navigating with difficult nurses and making sure the doctor was there when I was ready to push. After a really tough time in the hospital with our first, this birth experience was truly redemptive for me and my husband and Sarah was instrumental in that for us. 

 

She also was a huge help for us postpartum in settling into our lives as parents of two and in helping me dry up my breastmilk since I did not want to breastfeed and she was also very supportive of my choice not to breastfeed. My older son also loved having her around to help and she was a huge hit with him! We were very grateful for her help and as a result, I had a very positive birth and postpartum experience this time around.
